The meal plan for this week is as follows;
Monday - Spanish paprika rump steak fajitas.
Tuesday - Zesty tangy sausage balls with mashed sweet potato and tender-stem broccoli.
Wednesday - Out for dinner at a friend's house.
Thursday - Beef bourguignon with mashed potato and peas.
Friday - Leftover beef bourguignon (probably served as above...).
Saturday - I'm away, Gary's having bacon pasta (fried off bacon pieces in a tomato, garlic and onion sauce with pasta).
Sunday - Leftover bacon pasta.
The Spanish paprika rump steak, zesty sausage balls and beef bourguignon were bought today from Aubrey Allen. Every Monday, they have a special offer which means lots of their meat and deli products are half price. My haul as above came to approx £15.00, which in my opinion is a fabulous deal as their meat is of an excellent quality, and it makes life easier having something like their beef bourguignon ready in the fridge for after two long days at work. I mean, nobody wants to cook much after a 13 hour shift, right? On reflection, this week appears quite heavy on red meat, I try to make sure we don't have it too often but there's something rather lovely about a rich hearty meaty meal on a cold dull day.
